Because we operate in the most fragile contexts, Super-Novae is developing its skills to deploy humanitarian interventions as a solid basis for stabilization and development.

APPROACHES

In emergency situations, Super-Novae is actively committed to providinga rapid, effective, and community-tailored response. At Super-Novae, weadvocate for a comprehensive and inclusive approach that places human dignityat the heart of our interventions. Our actions are guided by thefollowing humanitarian principales:

Humanity: Human dignity,safety, and well-being of affected populations is at the hearth of ourinterventions to address urgent needs while supporting long-term recovery andresilience across the Humanitarian/Development/Peace Nexus.  

Neutrality: neutrality is essential to ensure access to affected populations and maintain the trust of local actors and communities. To this end we implement strict conflict-sensitive programming and maintain open dialogue with all relevant stakeholders while upholding our humanitarian mandate. 

Impartiality Aid without distinction. Our actions are based solely on the needs of the affected populations, without any discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, gender, or belief. We ensure that each beneficiary receives the assistance they need, based on objective and humanitarian criteria. 

Independence: We maintain complete autonomy in our decision-making and funding, free from political, economic, or military influence. This independence ensures that our actions are driven solely by urgency and humanitarian needs.
Discover the Ettihad2 project, a space for learning and resilience for children in Gaza. Through informal education sessions, recreational activities, and psychosocial support, we provide a safe environment for over 1,050 children to grow, play, and regain hope.

A coordinated response

Super-Novae coordinates with the mostactive humanitarian actors, international and local, in order to ensure therelevance of its interventions and to avoid any risk of duplication of efforts. 
Super Novae engage in coordination with UN agencies,clusters, and local actors to ensure our interventions align with broaderhumanitarian response efforts.
By participating in sectoral coordination groups, theorganization ensures a well-integrated and effective response, enhancestransparency and accountability, and strengthens collaboration withauthorities.  
This engagement also improves predictability, fosterscommunity inclusion in decision-making, amplifies advocacy efforts, andpromotes joint strategic and operational planning for greater efficiency andimpact.

We collaborate with local populations toco-develop adapted and lasting solutions to ensure a participatory and sustainable approach. By involving communities in humanitarian response efforts, we aim tostrengthen their autonomy and resilience.

Super Novaehumanitarian and development interventions are designed to be effective, ethical, and aligned withinternational best practices, by designing and implementing projects that meetsthe needs and takes into account the perspectives of affected populations,including vulnerable groups.

Emergency Medical Team (type 1) EMT- T1: A FIELD HOSPITAL AT MAYOTTE

In response to Cyclone Chido, which struck Mayotte on 14 December 2024, Super-Novae, in collaboration with Secouristes Sans Frontières and SOS Médecins, has established a field hospital at Mamoudzou’s Stade de Vilani. This 200-square-metre emergency facility ensures that those affected have access to essential medical care. Every day, between 70 and 120 people receive treatment. With the support of 20 French medical professionals and logisticians, we are addressing urgent medical needs while ensuring the continuity of care. The field hospital is officially certified as an Emergency Medical Team - 1 by the WHO—the only facility of its kind in France.

SUNBULA: Strengthening Food Security and Economic Resilience in Sudan through Green Entrepreneurship

The Sunbula Project aims to support food security and economic resilience in Sudan by supporting the development of a viable green entrepreneurship ecosystem and by supporting the resilience of the agricultural economic sector. To this end, the project will focus on creating an incubator, implementing training courses to help young people undertake AGRs and finally promote the development of community coping mechanisms to deal with the crisis and develop a network for the resilience of Sudan. Ettihad 2 - Gaza: Psychological support in refugee camps and informal education.

Super-Novae, with the backing of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, is working in the heart of the informal refugee camps of Rafah and Deir-Al Balah to assist health professionals in providing psychological assistance to impacted populations, including children.

Mussa'ada - Rehabilitation of the Medical Center in Derna- Achieved

After Hurricane Daniel, which affected eastern Libya in September 2023, Super-Novae rehabilitated a medical center in Derna in order to ensure the continuity of care for the affected populations. The initiative is implemented in partnership with the NGO Med'Equali Team and funding from the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
